Many und Much
Beide bedeuten „eine große Menge“, werden aber mit unterschiedlichen Nomen verwendet:
Much – mit nicht zählbaren Nomen (water, time, sugar, money).

She doesn’t have much time before the train leaves.

There isn’t much milk in the fridge.
Many – mit zählbaren Nomen im Plural (books, friends, ideas).

He has many friends at school.

I wrote many emails this morning.
Wir sehen many und much meistens in Fragen und Verneinungen.

Do you have many books?

I don’t drink much coffee.
In bejahenden Sätzen verwenden wir sie oft zur Betonung:

She has so many ideas!

There was too much noise in the street.
A lot (of) / Lots (of)
Wenn du unsicher bist, verwende a lot of. Es funktioniert mit zählbaren und nicht zählbaren Nomen und ist im alltäglichen Englisch sehr gebräuchlich.

We spent a lot of money on our holiday. (uncountable)

They have a lot of games at home. (countable)

Lots of people came to the concert. (informal version of a lot of)
A few und A little
Diese bedeuten „einige, aber nicht viele/viel“.
A few – mit zählbaren Nomen im Plural.

She made a few phone calls this morning.

There are a few cookies left on the plate.
A little – mit nicht zählbaren Nomen.

I need a little help with this project.

There’s a little sugar in my coffee.
Beide (a few und a little) drücken eine kleine, aber ausreichende Menge aus.
