Come Formare le Frasi Negative

La struttura di una frase negativa dipende dal tempo verbale. Il modo più comune per rendere una frase negativa è usare not con un verbo ausiliare (di supporto).

Frasi Negative con Diversi Tipi di Verbi

1. Frasi negative con “Be” (am, is, are, was, were)

He is not at home. (NOT He doesn’t be at home.)
They were not late. (NOT They didn’t be late.)

2. Frasi negative con verbi d’azione (do, does, did)

She does not (doesn’t) like ice cream.
We did not (didn’t) go to the party.

3. Frasi negative con verbi modali (can, could, must, should, ecc.)

You cannot (can’t) park here.
He should not (shouldn’t) be rude.

4. Frasi negative con “Have”

She does not have a car. (Present Simple)
He has not had lunch yet. (Present Perfect)

Frasi Negative con Pronomi Indefiniti

Nelle frasi negative, usa parole con no- invece di any-:

Nobody came.	Anybody didn’t come.
Nothing happened.	Anything didn’t happen.

Esempi:

No one was at home. (NOT Anyone wasn’t at home.)
Nothing is ready yet.

Errori Comuni nelle Frasi Negative

Sbagliato	Corretto	Perché?
He don’t like pizza.	He doesn’t like pizza.	Usa “does not (doesn’t)” con he/she/it.
She didn’t went home.	She didn’t go home.	“Did” indica già il passato, quindi il verbo resta alla forma base.
I no have a car.	I do not have a car.	Usa “do not” per le negative al presente.
She isn’t like football.	She does not like football.	“Is” non si usa con i verbi d’azione.
