O Future Simple é formado com will + a forma base do verbo. No inglês mais antigo, shall era usado com I e we, mas hoje geralmente usamos will para todas as pessoas.

Afirmativa
Sujeito + will + verbo

• I will work tomorrow.

• She will travel next week.

• They will find the key tomorrow.

Forma curta: I’ll, you’ll, he’ll, etc.

Negativa
Sujeito + will not (won’t) + verbo

• I will not go for a walk tomorrow. - I won’t go for a walk tomorrow.

• He won’t buy this ring.

• We won’t be late.

Perguntas
Will + sujeito + verbo … ?

• Will I go for a walk tomorrow?

• Will my husband buy this ring?

• Will we find the key tomorrow?

Perguntas com palavra interrogativa (Wh- questions):

• Where will I go tomorrow?

• What will he buy?

• When will we meet?

Uso do Future Simple

Ações futuras gerais. Para descrever ações que acontecerão uma vez, repetidamente ou em sequência.

• He will come here tomorrow.

• They will go to the cinema, buy snacks, and watch a movie.

Previsões e suposições. Para dizer o que pensamos, acreditamos ou esperamos que aconteça.

• I think he will win the competition.

• I’m afraid she won’t come on time.

• Probably they will find a solution.

Promessas, esperanças e ameaças

• I promise I will help you tomorrow.

• We hope he will enter the university.

• She swears she will be home in time.

Fatos futuros (coisas que não podemos mudar)

• The sun will rise at 6 a.m.

• The storm will start tomorrow.

• Spring will come soon.

Decisões espontâneas. Decisões tomadas no momento da fala.

• I’ll take this dress.

• We’ll go there right now!

• I’ll paint this table.
