There is / There are: uso ed esercizi

Le espressioni there is e there are si usano per indicare che qualcosa esiste in un luogo, per descrivere la posizione delle cose o per parlare di quantità. La parola there in questo caso non indica un luogo (“qui/lì”), ma funziona come un soggetto fittizio (dummy subject).
