Spelregels voor -ing
De meeste werkwoorden: work – working, play → playing
Werkwoorden die eindigen op -e: make – making, write → writing
Korte klinker + medeklinker: run – running, swim → swimming
Werkwoorden die eindigen op -ie: die → dying, lie – lying
Wanneer gebruiken we de Present Continuous?
Handelingen die nu gebeuren
Iets is bezig op het moment van spreken.

Niet precies op dit moment, maar in deze periode.

Toekomstplannen (nabije toekomst)
Met een toekomsttijdsaanduiding (tonight, tomorrow, next week).
We’re having dinner with friends tonight.
They’re flying to Paris tomorrow.
I’m visiting my grandparents next Sunday.
Veranderende situaties
Dingen die zich ontwikkelen of vooruitgaan.

This city is growing very quickly.
