Dinosaur Game

What is the Dinosaur Game?

The Dinosaur Game, famously known as the Google Dinosaur Game or Chrome Dino Game, is the internet's favorite Easter egg. Originally designed to entertain users when the internet connection went down, this endless T-Rex game has become a global phenomenon. It is a fast-paced dinosaur survival game where the goal is simple: run as far as possible without hitting an obstacle.

How to Play T-Rex game:

The controls for this Dino Run game are easy to learn but hard to master:

  • Start the Game: Press the Spacebar (or tap the screen on mobile) to wake up the T-Rex.

  • The Dino Jump: Wait until a cactus gets close, then press Space or the Up Arrow to jump over it. Jump a little earlier for groups of cactuses. As the game gets faster, react more quickly. Jump over low-flying pterodactyls, but stay on the ground when they fly high.

  • In the Google Dinosaur Game, cacti can appear alone or in groups of up to four. They come in different combinations and orders, so you never know exactly what obstacle is coming next. Watch the road ahead and time your jumps carefully to avoid them.

  • The Speed: As you progress, the T-Rex runs faster, testing your reflexes.

  •  Once you reach 400 points, flying pterodactyls appear alongside the cactuses, making the game more challenging.

  • The scenery also switches between day and night every 700 points, so your dinosaur keeps running through changing conditions.

Google Dinosaur Game High Score & World Records

How high can you score in the Google Dinosaur Game? 99,999 points is a famous milestone, but it's not the game's limit. In modern Chrome versions, the score counter can reach six digits, and the T-Rex keeps running as long as you avoid obstacles. Reaching 99,999 points takes approximately 85–90 minutes of uninterrupted play. There is no officially verified world record or global Google leaderboard, so impressive scores shared online are difficult to confirm. Think you can beat your personal best?
